Sixteen years on the staff at the Dorothy Clive Garden taught me that the best gardens are not just built — they are tended. They are the result of many patient decisions made every week, every season, every year. A border adjusted and enriched, a tree canopy raised at the right moment, a new wildflower meadow sown at the optimum window and given just enough time before its first cut.
